Revolutionary solar-powered, touchless portable toilet system that eliminates odor and contamination while reducing servicing costs.
Solvalt is pioneering the future of sanitation technology with innovative solar-powered solutions. Our team of engineers and environmental specialists developed the first touchless, self-sealing portable toilet system. We're committed to eliminating odor and contamination while dramatically reducing maintenance costs. Our compact, rugged design makes clean sanitation accessible in any environment. We believe everyone deserves access to hygienic, sustainable restroom facilities.
Our research and development team continuously advances touchless sanitation technology. We integrate solar power, automated sealing systems, and antimicrobial features into every unit. Each Solvalt system is rigorously tested to ensure reliability in diverse conditions. Our goal is to make premium sanitation technology accessible and affordable for communities everywhere.
Solvalt was born from experience, necessity, and the drive to create something better.
In 2022, while training at the National Training Center (NTC) in California as a U.S. soldier, our founder, Dr. James Trazile, was also a student in the doctoral business program at Concordia University Wisconsin, taking a course called Innovative and Entrepreneurial Leadership. Immersed in books like The Innovator’s DNA: Mastering The Five Skills of Disruptive Innovators (Jeff Dyer et al.), Create the Future: Tactics For Disruptive Thinking (Jeremy Gutsche), and Build: An Unorthodox Guide to Making Things Worth Making (Tony Fadell), he was challenged to see opportunities in everyday problems.
One problem was impossible to ignore: the portable toilets used in the field. They were hot, unsanitary, and far from the standards of hygiene he thought could be provided. Standing under the Mojave Desert sun, a thought emerged: Why hasn’t anyone built a better solution? And if it doesn’t exist, why can’t I create it?
Those questions became the seed of Solvalt. The idea was simple yet powerful: a solar-powered, touchless sanitation system designed to be clean, hygienic, and safe—transforming an unpleasant necessity into a dignified experience.
He pitched the concept to fellow soldiers, refined it through feedback, and placed it alongside a list of other ideas—fifteen in total, conceived during a 30-day training period. For a time, Solvalt remained just an idea on paper. Three years later, as career paths shifted and new opportunities were considered, the idea resurfaced. This time, it wouldn’t be shelved.
He began revisiting the concept, developing a pitch deck, and sharing the vision with trusted friends and family. Their response was enthusiastic. He invited several to join him on this journey as co-founders and executives. Together, they formed a team united by the mission to reinvent portable sanitation through sustainability, innovation, and user dignity.
What began as a soldier’s frustration in the field, paired with an innovator’s mindset in the classroom, has grown into Solvalt, Inc.—a company redefining how the world experiences sanitation.
